PS Kiptoo Mourns Victims of Kipkenda Village Tragedy
Treasury Principal Secretary Dr. Chris Kiptoo has sent a message of condolence to the family that lost two members in a tragic incident at Kipkenda Village, Emsoo Ward, Keiyo North Constituency, after a boulder rolled down a hill and crushed their home.
In his statement, Dr. Kiptoo expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of a grandmother and her grandchild, describing the incident as heartbreaking and a great loss to the community.
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic incident in Kipkenda Village, where a boulder rolled down and crushed a house, claiming the lives of a grandmother and her grandchild,” Dr. Kiptoo said. “I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Kipkenda community during this difficult time.”
He noted that government agencies had already been deployed to the area to support the affected family and assess potential risks to prevent future occurrences of similar disasters.
