Trans Nzoia's Miss Earth Kenya Receives Governor’s Blessing Ahead of International Contest

The County Government of Trans Nzoia is beaming with pride as one of its own, the newly crowned Miss Earth Kenya, prepares to represent the country at the upcoming Miss Earth 2025 competition in the Philippines.

Speaking during a courtesy call at the county headquarters in Kitale, Governor George Natembeya expressed his admiration for the beauty queen, describing her as a "proud daughter of our soil" and an embodiment of the county’s talent, elegance, and resilience.

“I was delighted to receive Miss Earth Kenya, not only as a national beauty ambassador but also as a dedicated employee of the County Government of Trans Nzoia,” said Governor Natembeya. “She carries not just the crown, but the hopes of an entire county and indeed the nation.”

The Governor praised her commitment to environmental advocacy — the central theme of the Miss Earth pageant — and reaffirmed the county's full support for her journey to the international stage.

“As a government, we have pledged to stand with her every step of the way,” he said. “We will facilitate her air travel, provide a daily assistance allowance and per diem to ensure she has everything she needs to focus on making Kenya proud.”

Miss Earth Kenya will be among dozens of international contestants vying for the global title, which highlights not just beauty, but also intelligence, environmental awareness, and community service.

Governor Natembeya urged all Kenyans to rally behind her as she flies the national flag abroad. “We believe in her. She represents the very best of Trans Nzoia — and we have no doubt that she will shine on the global stage.”

The Governor further emphasized the importance of supporting local talent and giving young people platforms to excel, both locally and internationally.

“As a county, we will continue to invest in our youth, in arts and culture, and in giving our sons and daughters the opportunities they need to tell the world our story,” he added.

The Miss Earth 2025 pageant is expected to draw millions of viewers worldwide, with the Kenyan representative’s journey now proudly backed by her home county.
