The Eldoret National Polytechnic Driving School Builds Confidence Beyond the Wheel
The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) is setting itself apart in driver education by offering more than just the basics of handling a vehicle. The institution is highlighting a holistic approach that equips learners with both technical skills and the confidence to face Kenya’s often unpredictable roads.
In a new campaign, TENP humorously noted that its program even prepares drivers for real-life scenarios such as staying calm when a matatu honks unexpectedly.
According to the institution’s Chief Principal Dr Charles Koech , the course blends classroom theory, road safety education, and hands-on practice to ensure students leave with competence, discipline, and composure.
“Our goal is not only to produce licensed drivers, but responsible and confident road users who can make safe decisions under pressure,” said the Chief Principal
The training program caters to first-time drivers, refresher learners, and individuals seeking professional driving as a career.
Applications for the driving course are now open, with enrollment available through the institution’s official website, www.tenp.ac.ke.
TENP, already recognized as one of Kenya’s leading technical and vocational training hubs, continues to strengthen its commitment to producing graduates with practical skills that directly improve employability and safety.
