ODM Leaders Affirm Regional Unity as Nyanza Delegates Rally Behind NEC Decision

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) continues to consolidate its strength and unity across the Nyanza region, following a series of consultative engagements reaffirming support for the party’s leadership and reform agenda.

On Friday, Rarieda Member of Parliament and ODM National Vice Chair, Hon. Dr. Otiende Amollo, SC, EBS, welcomed party delegates from Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Migori Counties, who paid homage to the Acting Party Leader, Hon. Dr. Oburu Oginga.

The delegates expressed their unwavering support for the National Executive Committee (NEC) decision and pledged to uphold the unity, discipline, and democratic values that define ODM.

Hon. Dr. Amollo commended the delegates for their steadfast loyalty and commitment to the party’s ideals, noting that ODM’s resilience lies in its ability to engage constructively and remain people-centered.

“The ODM family remains strong, focused, and united in purpose. Our commitment to the people and to transformative leadership remains steadfast,” said Dr. Amollo.

The meeting was marked by renewed calls for regional cohesion, structured dialogue, and grassroots mobilization to strengthen ODM’s political base ahead of upcoming national activities.

Party leaders present underscored the importance of maintaining internal harmony and amplifying youth and women’s voices in decision-making processes, emphasizing that unity within the party is key to sustaining its role as a pillar of Kenya’s democracy.

As part of the wider ODM engagement calendar, similar meetings are expected to continue across the country, fostering open dialogue and reaffirming the party’s shared vision for justice, equity, and good governance.
