KNQA Leads Drafting Workshop for the National Policy Framework on Assessment and Certification of Qualifications
The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) Council Chairperson, Hon. Stanley Kiptis, together with KNQA CEO, Dr. Alice Kande, and Mrs. Joan Muruli, representing the Principal Secretary, State Department for TVET, presided over the opening of a workshop to draft the National Policy Framework for Assessment and Certification of Qualifications.
The workshop, taking place from 28th to 31st October 2025 at Egerton University, Nakuru County, brings together members of the National Technical Working Committee (TWC) for development of System for Assessment and Certification.
The initiative aims to establish a harmonized and transparent national approach to assessment and certification, ensuring quality, comparability, and credibility of qualifications across all sectors.
Following the opening session, the KNQA delegation paid a courtesy call to the Egerton University Vice Chancellor’s Office, where they were warmly received by a section of the University’s management team led by Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bernard Aduda.
