Hon. Francis Kuria Kimani Applauds Delivery of Elburgon Affordable Housing Project in Molo
By John Kariuki
Molo Member of Parliament Hon. Francis Kuria Kimani has lauded the successful completion and handover of the 220-unit Elburgon Affordable Housing Estate in Molo, Nakuru County, terming it a major milestone in the government’s commitment to deliver decent and dignified living spaces for ordinary Kenyans.
The MP praised the project as a shining example of progress under the Affordable Housing Programme, noting that it has not only provided homes but also restored confidence in public development initiatives. He described the housing scheme as a transformative step toward bridging the social and economic gap that has for years limited many families from accessing quality housing.
Speaking after the symbolic handover of keys to the proud homeowners, Hon. Kuria said the Elburgon Estate represents more than just a roof over people’s heads. It stands as a powerful testament to hope, opportunity, and renewed faith in the promise of a better Kenya. He added that the project would stimulate local economic growth by creating jobs, boosting demand for building materials, and supporting small enterprises within Molo.
“This is not merely about constructing houses, it is about building communities, dignity, and stability for our people,” Hon. Kuria remarked. “Every new homeowner represents a story of empowerment and a step forward in our mission to make homeownership a reality for all, regardless of background or income.”
The estate, which features modern infrastructure, adequate green spaces, and improved access to utilities, aligns with the government’s broader vision of transforming urban and rural settlements into sustainable, inclusive communities. Residents who received keys to their new homes expressed gratitude to both the national and local leadership for prioritizing housing as a key pillar of economic empowerment.
Hon. Kuria reiterated his unwavering support for the Affordable Housing Programme, urging continued collaboration between the national government, county administrations, and the private sector to fast-track similar developments across Nakuru County. He emphasized that the success witnessed in Elburgon should inspire further expansion into other areas such as Molo Town, Turi, and Keringet.
As more families settle into their new homes, the Elburgon project stands as a beacon of progress and an enduring reminder that with visionary leadership, commitment, and public trust, the dream of affordable housing for every Kenyan can indeed be achieved.
