Governor Rotich Welcomes French Ambassador to Iten Ahead of 4th Iten International Marathon

 

 It was an immense pleasure to host H.E. Arnaud Suquet, the French Ambassador to Kenya, in the world-renowned Home of Champions, Iten. Our town, celebrated globally for producing an unparalleled legacy of world-beaters and record-setters in both road and track races, proudly welcomed the Ambassador ahead of the 4th Edition of the Iten International Marathon.

During his visit, Ambassador Suquet had the opportunity to witness firsthand the rich athletic culture and vibrant training environment that has made Iten synonymous with sporting excellence. The visit also highlighted Elgeyo Marakwet County’s commitment to promoting sports tourism and nurturing young talent, in line with our vision of leveraging athletics as a key driver of socio-economic development.
