Governor Bii Pays Tribute to Late Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has paid tribute to the late former Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, describing him as a towering statesman whose dedication to democracy and transformative role in strengthening devolution left an indelible mark on Kenya’s governance.
Speaking during a condolence visit, Governor Bii said, “Raila Odinga’s vision, resilience, and principled leadership reshaped Kenya’s political path and inspired generations across our nation. His unwavering commitment to democratic ideals and national cohesion will forever remain in our collective memory.”
Governor Bii led a delegation of clergy, local elders, and Members of County Assembly (MCAs) from Uasin Gishu to Kang’o Ka Jaramogi and Opoda Farm, where they extended heartfelt condolences to the Odinga family. The delegation stood in solidarity with Mama Ida Odinga during this solemn moment of national reflection.
