Dr Kigame Calls For Free , Accessible Education at Kaimosi Friends University Prayer Breakfast

Renowned gospel musician, author, and presidential aspirant Dr. Reuben Kigame delivered a stirring keynote address earlier today at the Interdenominational Prayer Breakfast hosted by Kaimosi Friends University. The event drew students, faculty, clergy, and local leaders for a moment of reflection, unity, and inspiration — with Kigame at the heart of it all.

In his passionate address, Dr. Kigame called for urgent reforms in Kenya’s education sector, placing special emphasis on the need for free and accessible education for all, particularly for youth from underprivileged backgrounds.

“We cannot talk about a just and moral society while locking out millions of young Kenyans from education due to poverty,” Kigame stated. “If we want a nation with dignity and strong values, we must educate not just the mind, but the heart as well.”

Weaving in themes of faith, education, and national transformation, Kigame encouraged students to embrace learning not just as a means to employment, but as a calling to serve humanity. His message resonated strongly with both students and faculty, many of whom described the event as "deeply uplifting."

In a symbolic act of support for intellectual and spiritual empowerment, Dr. Kigame donated several copies of his authored books to the university’s library. The donation was received on behalf of the institution by Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita, who praised Kigame’s longstanding contribution to Kenya’s moral and intellectual discourse.

“Dr. Kigame is not only a thought leader but a living example of integrity and purpose. His message today reminds us of the critical role education plays in national healing and development,” Prof. Mwita said.

Dr. Kigame’s visit comes at a time when he is increasingly vocal about a values-based leadership model that combines justice, compassion, and faith in public policy. His presidential bid, centered around dignity, inclusivity, and social justice, has been gaining attention across diverse sectors of society.

Closing his speech with a performance of one of his inspirational songs, Dr. Kigame reminded attendees that hope is not a luxury but a necessity, especially in times of economic and social uncertainty.

“We must build a Kenya where every child, regardless of background, has a fair chance. That starts with education—and it continues with leadership that listens, leads, and loves.”

The prayer breakfast concluded with interfaith prayers for peace, wisdom in leadership, and blessings over the nation’s youth. Dr. Kigame’s visit was hailed as a timely encouragement for the university community and a reaffirmation of the power of words—and actions—to shape the future of a nation.
