Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has urged Kenyans to shun tribal and divisive politics, emphasizing the need for unity and national cohesion as the country edges closer to the 2027 General Election.
Speaking in Ngeria, Uasin Gishu County, Lusaka called on leaders and citizens alike to embrace harmony and work together for the nation’s progress.
“I have not come here by default; I am here as a neighbor because there is need for us as a country to work together and move away from divisive and tribal politics,” said the governor.
Lusaka expressed confidence that President William Ruto will secure re-election in 2027, urging Kenyans to rally behind him, citing his clear development agenda and vision for the nation.
“It is becoming increasingly clear that President Ruto will reclaim his seat. Those opposing him lack the stamina to defeat him and should instead join his mission rather than find themselves in the opposition,” Lusaka remarked.
The governor added that the Luhya community remains firmly behind President Ruto’s leadership, expressing optimism that unity of purpose across regions will strengthen Kenya’s democratic and developmental journey
