Loise Wangui Bids Farewell to Nation Media Group After a Decade of Service
Celebrated news anchor Loise Wangui has officially announced her departure from Nation Media Group (NMG), bringing to a close a decade-long career with the media powerhouse.
Wangui, best known for her impactful reporting and commanding presence on NTV Mashinani, presented her final bulletin on Sunday evening, marking the end of an era for both the station and her loyal viewers.
In an emotional sign-off, Wangui expressed gratitude to her colleagues, viewers, and the NMG leadership for their support throughout her journey.
"It has been an incredible 10 years of growth, learning, and service to the public. I am truly grateful for the platform Nation Media Group has given me, and for the trust of millions of viewers who welcomed me into their homes," she said.
Wangui joined NMG in 2015 and quickly rose through the ranks, earning recognition for her deep-rooted storytelling and commitment to spotlighting underreported issues through NTV Mashinani, a program dedicated to stories from Kenya’s grassroots communities.
Her departure has drawn tributes from fellow journalists and fans across the country, many describing her as a voice of integrity and a role model in the media industry.
Nation Media Group is yet to announce a replacement for Wangui on NTV Mashinani.
