Ksh 1 Million Bounty for Fugitive Murder Suspect Collins Jumaisi Khalusha
The National Police Service (NPS) has announced a Ksh 1 million reward for information leading to the re-arrest of Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the prime suspect in a string of brutal killings that shocked the nation in 2024.
Khalusha, accused of the gruesome murders of multiple women, remains at large after escaping police custody in August 2024, just moments before he was scheduled to appear in court to face murder charges.
Authorities say the suspect is connected to a series of killings whose victims’ bodies and body parts were discovered at the Kware dumpsite in Nairobi’s Embakasi area. The horrific nature of the crimes sparked national outrage and widespread calls for justice.
“The National Police Service hereby pledges a cash reward of Ksh 1 million to anyone who provides credible information that will assist in the re-arrest of the suspect,” read part of a statement released today.
The public is being urged to report any information through the Directorate of Criminal Investigations' confidential tip-off line #FichuaKwaDCI. Reports can be made via the toll-free hotline 0800 722 203, WhatsApp on 0709 570 000, or through any nearest police station. The public can also use emergency lines 999, 911, or 112.
Law enforcement agencies stress that all tips will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and no detail is too small.
Collins Jumaisi Khalusha is described as dangerous, and police are warning the public not to attempt to confront him directly. Instead, they encourage anyone with information to reach out to authorities immediately.
This case continues to draw national attention, not only due to the heinous nature of the crimes, but also because of the ongoing failure to recapture the fugitive over a year after his escape.
