Eldoret National Polytechnic Hosts Bungoma Students for Building & Construction Exposure

 

The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) on Friday, September 19, 2025, hosted high school students from A.C. Butonge Secondary School in Bungoma County for an educational tour.

The visit targeted students pursuing the Building and Construction subject, giving them an opportunity to interact with experts and gain practical exposure at TENP’s Building and Civil Engineering Department.

During the tour, the students were introduced to modern building and construction technologies, practical applications of classroom theory, and the role of technical training in shaping careers in the construction industry.

TENP officials noted that such educational visits are key in inspiring young learners to pursue technical and vocational training, which is increasingly vital for Kenya’s infrastructure development and job creation.

The institution reaffirmed its commitment to supporting secondary schools by providing mentorship, technical demonstrations, and access to facilities that broaden students’ understanding of technical subjects.
