Man Walks Casually With Stolen TV on Shoulder as Owner Screams for Help

 

Kakamega residents stunned after theft suspect strolls past crowd with flat screen TV without raising alarm

 Residents of Kakamega town were left reeling in disbelief on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, after a suspected thief walked calmly through the main road with a stolen flat-screen TV perched on his shoulder as if it were his own.

Witnesses say the suspect, a man believed to be in his early thirties, did not show any signs of panic or urgency as he navigated the town centre with the electronic device, drawing curious glances rather than suspicion from bystanders.

The bizarre scene unfolded at around 10:45 a.m. after a resident raised the alarm claiming that the TV had been stolen from his electronics shop located near the bus stage barely ten minutes earlier.

A crowd soon gathered to listen to the shop owner who screamed while pointing in the direction the man had gone, but by then, the suspect had disappeared behind the old Kenya Commercial Bank building.
