Governor Natembeya, Prof. Wajackoyah Hold Talks on Unity and Development in the Mulembe Nation

 

Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya on Thursday afternoon hosted Roots Party leader Prof. George Wajackoyah at his office for a courtesy call that focused on key issues affecting the Mulembe Nation.

In a statement released after the meeting, Governor Natembeya described the engagement as “meaningful and forward-looking,” adding that the conversation touched on matters of unity, inclusive development, and the long-term prosperity of communities in Western Kenya.

“It was a pleasure to host Prof. Wajackoyah today. Our dialogue was rooted in a shared desire to see the Mulembe Nation united, empowered, and actively contributing to the national development agenda,” Governor Natembeya said.

The two leaders exchanged views on how best to champion the interests of the region, promote economic growth, and ensure the voices of the people are heard and respected at both county and national levels.

Governor Natembeya noted that Trans-Nzoia County continues to prioritize inclusive governance, equitable resource distribution, and grassroots-driven progress. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to working with leaders from across the political divide for the benefit of the people.

“We agreed that unity is not just political—it is developmental. We must come together to uplift our people, provide opportunities for our youth, and strengthen the institutions that serve our communities,” he stated.
