Moiben MP Phylis Bartoo Hails Arrival of Materials for Konda Electricity Project
Moiben MP Prof. Phylis Bartoo has welcomed the arrival of materials for the much-anticipated Konda Electricity Project, a key initiative under the Mama na Mwangaza Program that will connect 300 households to the national electricity grid.
Speaking shortly after the materials were received on-site, Prof. Bartoo described the milestone as a “major step toward transforming lives in our constituency.”
“This project is not just about electricity; it’s about opening doors to opportunity,” said Prof. Bartoo. “It will allow our children to study in better conditions, enable our local businesses to operate longer hours, and improve security in the area. Above all, it ensures that no household in Moiben is left behind in our journey toward inclusive development.”
The MP urged residents to cooperate with the ongoing installation works, assuring them that the project will be completed promptly. She emphasized that reliable electricity is critical for improving livelihoods, fostering entrepreneurship, and boosting overall socio-economic growth in the area.
Prof. Bartoo added that the Konda Electricity Project demonstrates the government’s commitment to delivering tangible development benefits to communities long underserved by basic infrastructure.
Residents have expressed excitement and hope that the project will transform daily life, creating new opportunities and improving living standards across Moiben.
