SGA Security Calls for Early Integration of Home Safety in Property Design
Security firm SGA Security has called on real estate stakeholders — including architects, interior designers, developers, and homeowners — to embed home security solutions at the earliest stages of property design and development.
The company made the appeal during an art and home security exhibition held in partnership with Elements Luxury Living, under the theme “The Future of Home Security Solutions.” The showcase highlighted how safety, innovation, simplicity, and modern design can seamlessly coexist within contemporary living spaces.
The event brought together a select audience of industry professionals, developers, and homeowners, sparking dialogue on the evolving role of intelligent security systems in Kenya’s growing real estate sector.
During the exhibition, SGA Security unveiled its comprehensive wireless home security solution, featuring integrated CCTV cameras, panic alarm systems, intrusion detection, medical emergency response, and home insurance. The solution is designed to offer homeowners continuous safety, peace of mind, and enhanced property value.
Speaking at the event, SGA Security Chief Commercial Officer Jackson Mbuthia emphasized the importance of embedding security in property planning from the very beginning, rather than treating it as an afterthought.
“Nine times out of ten when someone is building or looking to move into a house, they will think of everything else but the security inside the house,” said Mr. Mbuthia. “Security should never be an afterthought; it should be built into the DNA of every home. As we design the homes of tomorrow, we must think about how safety, comfort, and technology can coexist.”
He added that the company’s goal is to inspire developers and homeowners to view security as an essential component of modern living, not merely an add-on.
Elements Luxury Living, renowned for its refined aesthetics and contemporary home designs, provided the perfect backdrop for the exhibition, demonstrating how innovation and luxury can merge to create both secure and visually stunning spaces.
SGA Security also urged developers to explore wireless security systems, which offer greater efficiency, simplicity, and flexibility compared to traditional wired setups.
More than just an exhibition, “The Future of Home Security Solutions” represented a vision for the future — challenging conventional thinking and positioning SGA Security at the forefront of a movement where protection, innovation, and design converge.
