President Ruto Mourns Njabini Leader Beth Wahito as a Champion of Grassroots Development




President William Ruto has led the nation in mourning the passing of Mheshimiwa Beth Wahito, a respected community leader from Nyandarua County known for her unwavering dedication to grassroots development and progressive politics.

In a statement issued from State House, President Ruto described Wahito as “a solid grassroots mobiliser” and “a steadfast UDA supporter” whose leadership left a lasting imprint on the people of Njabini and beyond.

“We join the family and the people of Nyandarua County in mourning the passing of Mheshimiwa Beth Wahito,” President Ruto said. “She was a passionate believer in our bottom-up economic transformation agenda and subscribed fully to the ideals of progressive, people-driven politics.”

Wahito, who rose to prominence through her hands-on approach to community development, is credited with championing numerous initiatives that improved livelihoods across Njabini. President Ruto highlighted her “many fresh ideas” that brought real change to the region—ranging from women’s empowerment and youth training to agricultural innovation and public health campaigns.

“Beth will best be remembered for the many fresh ideas that transformed the lives of the people of Njabini. Her legacy is one of action, commitment, and vision,” he noted.

The President extended his heartfelt condolences to Wahito’s family, friends, and the wider Nyandarua community, assuring them of the nation’s solidarity during this time of grief.
