Governor Natembeya: New Trans Nzoia County Headquarters Near Completion, a Milestone in Service Delivery

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has announced the near completion of the new state-of-the-art County Headquarters, a major infrastructural milestone aimed at transforming how devolved services are delivered to the people of Trans Nzoia.

Speaking from Kitale during a project inspection tour, Governor Natembeya revealed that the modern multi-storey complex is over 90% complete, and is expected to be fully operational in the coming months.

“This is more than just a building – it is a bold statement of our commitment to efficient, accessible, and people-centered governance. By bringing all county departments under one roof, we are enhancing coordination and reducing bureaucratic delays that have historically hampered service delivery,” said Governor Natembeya.

The one-stop center design of the new facility is intended to ease public access to government services by reducing the need for residents to move between scattered offices. The complex will also house the Governor’s office, consolidating administrative functions that were previously spread out across different locations in Kitale.

“This new headquarters will significantly reduce operational inefficiencies and allow for better oversight, faster decision-making, and a more citizen-friendly experience when interacting with county services,” the Governor added.

Governor Natembeya also emphasized the project’s long-term impact on governance, noting that it lays a strong foundation for institutional growth and digital transformation within the county government.

The facility, once complete, will stand as a symbol of progress and visionary leadership—one that reflects the aspirations of the people of Trans Nzoia for a modern, efficient, and inclusive devolved system.

“Our focus remains clear: to build a government that listens, responds, and works in the best interest of its people. The completion of this headquarters is a promise fulfilled and a step closer to that goal,” concluded the Governor.

The county government has committed to equipping the building with modern ICT infrastructure to support e-governance and ensure that the facility meets future demands as the county grows.
