Dr. Ekrah Ndung’u has delivered a heartfelt and inspiring message to the graduating class of 2024/2025 at Kitengela International School, urging them to seize every opportunity with gratitude, determination, and a commitment to personal growth.

Speaking during the colorful graduation ceremony, Dr. Ndung’u reminded the graduands that while life remains unpredictable, their success will ultimately depend on their willingness to pursue their best selves.

“Believe you can and you are already halfway there,” she said. “One promise we can make is that life will always have uncertainties, but what matters most is how you choose to respond. Strive to become the best version of yourself.”

Dr. Ndung’u emphasized that many privileges often go unnoticed, especially by those who still have them within reach. She urged the young graduates to always appreciate the blessings surrounding them — access to education, good health, and the love and care of parents.

“Sometimes when privilege is within our grasp, we forget to value it. Being in school is a privilege. Being healthy is a privilege. Having parents who care is a privilege. Maximize these opportunities when they are available,” she said.

Addressing students from middle-class backgrounds, Dr. Ndung’u cautioned against complacency and taking life for granted. She encouraged them to work hard and become independent, reminding them that no one wishes to remain under their parents’ economic support indefinitely.

“Life has a unique way of rewarding effort. You are full of potential and promise. Give it your all and never feel like you have arrived. Keep growing, keep striving,” she urged.

Dr. Ndung’u congratulated the graduands as they prepare to join A-level studies and encouraged them to approach the next phase of their journey with courage and purpose.

“Go out there and become someone’s miracle as one of the parents retaliated here.If you live your purpose your life will be a blessing. Never forget that your creator made you to solve a problem in this universe and to be a blessing to humanity,” she concluded.

She applauded Kitengela International school for excellence, commitment to quality and their students discipline. The school's ethos on Christian values is commendable.

While closing she reminded them that as the African saying it takes a community to raise a child, Kitengela International school the teachers and the parents are the community to finish a product and that product is a student who'll impact their generation.
