Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, EGH, has underscored the importance of structured synergy and multi-sectoral coordination in driving the Government’s agenda and enhancing the delivery of services to citizens.
Speaking during a high-level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Finance, Infrastructure, Land, and the Production Economy held this morning, CS Miano highlighted that efficient implementation of government projects hinges on critical enablers such as financing, infrastructure development, land management, and a robust production economy.
“The Government’s mandate cannot be delivered in isolation. It requires a well-coordinated approach across various sectors to ensure the seamless implementation of policies and timely service delivery,” she stated.
The strategic committee, chaired by Deputy President H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki, brings together key Cabinet members to align and harmonize national development priorities. The meeting focused on enhancing inter-ministerial collaboration to fast-track government initiatives and tackle cross-cutting challenges.
Miano reaffirmed her Ministry’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to the national development agenda through tourism, culture, and wildlife conservation, while ensuring that tourism growth aligns with broader infrastructure and economic goals.
“This kind of collaboration ensures that no sector is left behind. By working together, we can create sustainable impact and improve the quality of life for all Kenyans,” she added.
The meeting comes at a time when the Government is accelerating the implementation of its Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), which aims to empower communities and enhance service delivery at the grassroots.
