Farouk Kibet, a close aide to President William Ruto, has strongly condemned recent inciteful remarks made by certain political figures in the run-up to the 2027 General Elections, warning that such utterances threaten the peace and unity of the nation.
Speaking during a public event in Uasin Gishu County, Kibet emphasized the importance of safeguarding Kenya’s social and political stability, declaring that Kenya is a tribeless nation bound by a shared destiny.
“Kenya is a tribeless nation united by a common course of unity,” Kibet said. “The inciteful remarks we are beginning to hear ahead of the 2027 polls are not only uncouth and barbaric but also completely uncalled for.”
Kibet warned that any attempts to sow seeds of division along ethnic or political lines would be met with the full force of the law. He reminded leaders and citizens alike that Kenya is a country governed by the rule of law, not the whims of reckless individuals.
“This country is founded on a strong socio-cultural fabric that no one can put asunder,” he said. “We have come a long way as a nation, and we must not allow a few individuals to take us backwards through careless and dangerous rhetoric.”
Kibet called on investigative agencies to move swiftly and bring those responsible for hate speech to book, noting that the law must apply equally to all, regardless of political affiliation.
As political temperatures begin to rise in anticipation of the next electoral cycle, his remarks underscore the need for responsible leadership and dialogue focused on national cohesion and development rather than division.
