In a scathing public statement that has sent shockwaves across Uasin Gishu County, former gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Kiprop Bundotich, popularly known as Buzeki, has launched a no-holds-barred attack against Senator Jackson Mandago and Governor Jonathan Chelilim Bii, accusing them of enabling cartels, mismanaging county resources, and betraying the trust of the electorate.
In a strongly worded message shared across social media and local radio stations, Buzeki accused the two leaders of turning Uasin Gishu into "a playground for cartels" rather than delivering on their mandates.
“You didn’t fight the cartels—you nurtured them. You joined them,” Buzeki wrote. “You’ve looted the county DRY. The people are left with empty hospitals, ghost roads, and hopeless youth.”
Buzeki painted a grim picture of life in Uasin Gishu under the current leadership, pointing to rampant unemployment, struggling farmers, and deteriorating public services as direct consequences of corrupt governance. He blamed Mandago and Bii for allegedly enriching themselves while the people who voted for them suffer in silence.
But in a surprising twist, Buzeki also turned the spotlight on the electorate.
“Let me be blunt—my people, YOU are part of the problem,” he stated. “You voted with your tribe, not your brain. You chose corruption over competence, and now you cry as if shocked by the outcome.”
Calling for introspection and accountability, Buzeki urged residents to change their voting behavior in future elections if they truly desire better leadership.
“Cry, my people—but cry with some accountability. You either change your vote next time or shut up and enjoy the mess you helped create.”
Buzeki, who has been a vocal critic of the county’s leadership since his gubernatorial bid, has not ruled out a return to politics, with insiders speculating that this statement could mark the beginning of his 2027 campaign.
Neither Senator Mandago nor Governor Bii has issued a response to the statement as of press time.
