Nguna Distributes 48 Water Tanks to Schools in Mwingi West
Mwingi West MP Charles Ngusya Nguna has overseen the supply of 48 additional 10,000-litre water tanks to public primary and secondary schools across the constituency to improve access to clean drinking water.
The latest distribution brings the total number of water tanks supplied through the Mwingi West NG-CDF to 124, supporting efforts to ensure pupils and students have access to safe and reliable water in their learning institutions.
The initiative comes as the country prepares for the rains, with the tanks expected to strengthen water storage capacity in schools and support better learning environments.
In a related environmental conservation initiative, the distribution of 1,500 tree seedlings to public institutions has also commenced.
The exercise aligns with the government's national tree-growing campaign, which targets planting 15 billion trees by 2032 to increase Kenya's tree cover to 30 per cent.
Through the twin initiatives, Nguna is focusing on improving water access in schools while promoting environmental conservation and sustainable management of natural resources across Mwingi West Constituency.
