WASREB Appoints Leparan Tialal as New CEO, Brings 25 Years of Leadership Experience

 



The Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) has appointed Leparan C. Tialal, CHRP(K), as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a new chapter in the agency’s leadership.

Tialal takes over with 25 years of professional experience, including more than a decade in senior management positions within Kenya’s public sector.

According to WASREB, the new CEO brings extensive expertise in corporate performance, human resource management, strategic leadership, governance, institutional transformation and stakeholder engagement.

His career has focused on aligning people, policies and organisational performance to achieve sustainable results, experience expected to be critical as WASREB continues to strengthen regulation and service delivery in Kenya’s water sector.

Tialal is currently a PhD candidate in Leadership and Governance. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Administration.

He is also a Certified Human Resource Professional, Licensed HR Practitioner and member of the Institute of Human Resource Management of Kenya (IHRM-K). In addition, he is a Certified Pensions Trustee and Certified Quality Management Systems (QMS) Auditor.

The WASREB Board welcomed Tialal to the organisation and expressed confidence that his leadership and extensive experience will help advance the institution’s strategic priorities and mandate.

His appointment comes at a time when the water sector continues to focus on strengthening governance, improving accountability and ensuring Kenyans have access to reliable and quality water services.

WASREB has welcomed its new CEO, wishing Mr. Leparan C. Tialal success as he takes up the leadership of the regulatory body.
