Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has highlighted ongoing development projects in Embobut, saying the area is undergoing gradual transformation through investments in infrastructure and public facilities.

Murkomen, who recently visited his home area, inspected several projects aimed at improving public services and supporting local communities.

Among the projects he inspected were the ongoing construction of Embobut Police Station and police housing units, which are expected to strengthen security services and improve accommodation for police officers serving in the area.

He also inspected works on the Embobut Division Assistant County Commissioner’s office and official residence, as well as development projects at St. Michael’s Embobut Secondary School, including new dormitories.

The CS also visited AIC Sitat Church, among other projects being undertaken in the area.

Sharing updates on the projects, Murkomen said the developments were part of efforts to gradually change the face of Embobut and improve facilities available to residents.

“Changing the face of Embobut, one step at a time,” Murkomen said.

He expressed appreciation to friends, partners and other stakeholders supporting the various development initiatives, saying their contribution has been instrumental in the ongoing transformation.

The inspection comes as infrastructure development continues to attract attention in Embobut, with investments in security, education, administration and community facilities expected to improve service delivery.

Murkomen said he remains grateful to those supporting the development journey, noting that partnerships are important in turning development plans into tangible projects.

The ongoing projects are expected to provide improved working environments for public officers, better learning facilities for students and enhanced services for residents once completed.

The CS's visit also provided an opportunity to assess the progress of the projects and appreciate the work being undertaken to improve infrastructure in the area.

With several projects at different stages of implementation, Murkomen said the transformation of Embobut will continue “one step at a time.”
