President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet has called for greater unity, inclusivity and equitable distribution of resources as the Broad-Based Government steps up efforts to implement its development agenda across the country.

Kibet said the government had moved beyond Vision 2030 and was now focused on establishing a new roadmap aimed at ensuring that all regions and communities benefit from Kenya’s development.

“After launching a roadmap beyond Vision 2030, the Broad-Based Government is aligning its efforts towards its realization through inclusivity, unity and equitable distribution of resources across the country,” Kibet said.

He spoke as leaders allied to President Ruto joined Citizen TV presenter Trevor Ombija and residents of Nyakach in Kisumu County for a Cultural Day and Women Empowerment Drive.

The event brought together leaders from different political and regional backgrounds, including Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, Mumias East MP Emmanuel Wangwe, Mwingi North MP Raphael Wanjala and Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, among other leaders.

According to Kibet, the gathering demonstrated the importance of bringing leaders and communities together around a shared development agenda rather than focusing on political and regional divisions.

He said the empowerment initiative was aimed at strengthening communities, particularly women, while creating opportunities for residents to participate in and benefit from the country’s economic transformation.

Kibet said the participation of leaders from different parts of the country reflected the government’s commitment to fostering national unity and ensuring that development reaches every corner of Kenya.

“The initiative brought together leaders united by a common goal of empowering our communities and ensuring that every Kenyan benefits from the country’s development agenda,” he said.

The Nyakach event also highlighted the role of cultural activities in bringing communities together and creating platforms for dialogue, empowerment and social development.

Kibet urged Kenyans to work together in supporting initiatives that promote economic empowerment, inclusivity and national cohesion, saying the country’s progress would depend on collective effort.

“Together, we can build a more inclusive and prosperous Kenya where no region or community is left behind,” he said.
