The County Assembly of Kwale held productive morning and afternoon plenary sittings on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, during which Members of the County Assembly deliberated on key committee reports aimed at strengthening governance, accountability and service delivery across the county.

Hamisi Mkaha (MCA, Mwavumbo Ward) moved the motion for the adoption of the Report of the Early Childhood Education and Vocational Training Committee on the Vetting of the Nominee for Chairperson of the Kwale County Bursary and Scholarship Fund County Committee. The motion, seconded by Hon. Judy Kyengo, received contributions and support from Hon. Manza Beja (Mwereni Ward), Hon. Melda Nyakiti, Hon. Elizabeth Mjeni, Hon. Triza Muoki, Hon. The motion was seconded by Hon. Yusuf Sengeza (Mkongani Ward) and supported by Hon. Manza Beja (Mwereni Ward), Hon. Lennox Mwagawari (Mackinnon Ward), Hon. Judy Kyengo, Hon. Douglas Chimako (Dzombo Ward) and Hon. James Dawa (Puma Ward).
Throughout the day's proceedings, Speaker Kamanza ensured that deliberations remained orderly, inclusive and guided by the principles of transparency, fairness and accountability.
