Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration Raymond Omollo has led Kenyans in mourning the sudden death of renowned youth leader and community mobilizer Elvis, popularly known as "Beast," describing him as a passionate champion of youth empowerment whose legacy will live on through the many lives he transformed.

In an emotional condolence message, Omollo said he was deeply saddened by the untimely passing of his close friend, recalling that they had spent time together just a day before his death.

According to the PS, Elvis was widely respected for his unwavering commitment to mentoring young people and creating opportunities for constructive engagement through various youth initiatives, including the Kenya Youth Transition Initiative.

"The 'Beast,' as he was fondly known, devoted his time and energy to creating platforms that brought young people together for dialogue, mentorship and positive engagement. Through the many youth forums and meetings he organized, such as the Kenya Youth Transition Initiative, he became a respected voice and a source of hope for countless young people," Omollo said.

The PS recounted their last moments together, revealing that they had watched the FIFA World Cup final at English Point in Nyali, unaware it would be their final meeting.

"Just yesterday, we sat together at English Point in Nyali and watched the FIFA World Cup final. None of us could have imagined that those moments would become our final memories with him. That reality makes his sudden departure even more painful," he said.

Omollo disclosed that Elvis lost his life after suffering an epileptic attack that resulted in a fatal fall, a tragedy that has shocked friends, family and members of the youth fraternity.

Describing the death as a huge loss, the PS said Elvis had dedicated his life to uplifting young people through leadership, mentorship and community service, earning admiration from many across the country.

"It is heartbreaking to learn that he lost his life following an epileptic attack that led to a fatal fall," he added.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and colleagues, praying that they find comfort during the difficult period.

"His passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, colleagues and the many young people whose lives he touched through his leadership and service. May they find strength in the cherished memories he leaves behind and comfort in the knowledge that his impact on the lives of others will endure for years to come."
