Saku MP Dido Rasso Joins President Ruto, Northern Kenya Leaders in State House Development Talks

 



Saku Member of Parliament Hon. Dido Rasso on Monday joined President William Samoei Ruto and other leaders from Northern Kenya at State House, Nairobi, for a high-level meeting focused on accelerating the region's transformation through inclusive development and strategic investment.


The meeting brought together leaders from Marsabit, Isiolo, Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera  counties to deliberate on practical solutions to the socio-economic challenges facing the region and explore ways of unlocking its vast development potential.


President Ruto said the Government is working closely with leaders from Northern Kenya to accelerate the region's transformation through equitable development, improved access to essential services, and expanded economic opportunities.


He noted that the Government's deliberate policies are aimed at ending decades of marginalisation by ensuring every part of the country benefits from national development initiatives.


The President added that strategic investments under the **National Infrastructure Fund** will provide the resources needed to support energy generation, water harvesting, water storage, and irrigation projects, which are expected to unlock Northern Kenya's agricultural and industrial potential while strengthening food security and creating jobs.


The Head of State spoke after meeting leaders from Isiolo, Marsabit, Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera counties led by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi, Garissa Governor Nathif Jama, and Mandera Governor Mohamed Khalif**.


Hon. Dido Rasso welcomed the continued collaboration between the national government and regional leaders, saying sustained investment in infrastructure, water, energy, and agriculture is critical to improving livelihoods and driving sustainable economic growth in Marsabit County and the wider Northern Kenya region.


The meeting reaffirmed the Government's commitment to bridging historical development gaps and working closely with elected leaders to deliver transformative projects that will improve the quality of life for residents across Northern Kenya.
