Moi's Bridge Police Station Commissioning Postponed Indefinitely
Residents of Soy Constituency will have to wait longer for the official commissioning of the newly constructed Moi's Bridge Police Station after the event scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, was postponed.
In a brief notice issued by the Office of Soy Member of Parliament David Kiplagat through the Soy NG-CDF office, organizers announced that the event had been called off due to unavoidable circumstances.
"Due to unavoidable circumstances, tomorrow's event has been postponed. A new date will be communicated in due course," the notice stated.
The commissioning ceremony was expected to take place at 10:00 a.m. at Moi's Bridge Police Station and was set to be presided over by Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, as the chief guest. Soy MP David Kiplagat was also expected to attend the event.
The postponement comes after preparations had already been finalized, with invitations extended to leaders, residents, and stakeholders from across the constituency.
No further details were provided regarding the reasons behind the postponement, and organizers have assured the public that a new date for the commissioning will be announced in due course.
The modern police station is expected to enhance security services in Moi's Bridge and the surrounding areas once officially commissioned.
