Thousands of young Kenyans are set to benefit from the next phase of the NYOTA project after the Government confirmed that the second grant disbursement is in the final stages of preparation.

Speaking during a youth empowerment meeting in Nairobi, a senior government official announced that the second round of payments will be released soon once the ongoing verification process is completed.

“The second NYOTA grant disbursement is in the pipeline, and beneficiaries will receive their funds after the ongoing verification process is completed,” the official said.

The NYOTA program was introduced to empower young people through financial support aimed at helping them start small businesses, acquire skills, and create employment opportunities. Since its launch, thousands of youths across the country have benefited from the first phase of the initiative.

According to government officials, the upcoming disbursement will primarily target beneficiaries who successfully met the required conditions during the first phase of the program. Authorities emphasized the importance of using the funds responsibly to improve livelihoods and stimulate local economic growth.

“We want young people to invest the money in productive activities that can create income and jobs,” the official added.

The announcement was welcomed by many beneficiaries who said the initial grants had already transformed their lives and businesses. Several youths reported using the funds to establish ventures such as farming projects, retail shops, and tailoring businesses.

“I used my first grant to start a poultry project, and it has really helped me,” said a youth beneficiary from Kiambu County.

The government assured beneficiaries that details regarding payment dates, distribution channels, and other implementation guidelines will be communicated in the coming weeks.

The confirmation of the second disbursement has renewed hope among thousands of young people who are looking to expand their businesses and strengthen their economic prospects through the NYOTA program
