The President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Dr. Erick Rutto, continues to demonstrate visionary and transformational leadership in strengthening Kenya's private sector by championing inclusive business growth, expanding export opportunities and empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
Leading the Chamber's national leadership, Dr. Rutto, accompanied by National Directors Mutavi Kithu and Ken Onditi, Diaspora Committee Chair Simon Nyaga**, and Chief Executive Officer K.K. Mutai, hosted the KNCCI Embu Chapter leadership in preparation for the chapter's upcoming Business Breakfast and Magazine Launch scheduled for July and August.
The engagement underscored Dr. Rutto's unwavering commitment to building stronger county chapters as engines of economic transformation. Under his stewardship, KNCCI continues to deepen its grassroots presence, ensuring entrepreneurs across Kenya access the networks, advocacy, training and market linkages necessary to grow competitive enterprises.
During the meeting, the Embu Chapter unveiled an ambitious plan to expand its membership to 2,000 active members by the end of the year, a target that reflects the renewed confidence in the Chamber's leadership and its growing relevance to the business community.
Recognizing Embu's immense agricultural potential, Dr. Rutto challenged the chapter to pursue new international markets for key export commodities including macadamia, green grams, tea and coffee. By expanding global market access, the Chamber seeks to increase value for farmers, strengthen regional value chains and enhance incomes for thousands of households that depend on agriculture.
The KNCCI President further called for intensified grassroots engagement to ensure local MSMEs fully benefit from the Chamber's services, reinforcing his belief that sustainable national economic growth begins with thriving county economies and empowered local enterprises.
Chief Executive Officer K.K. Mutai encouraged the chapter to capitalize on the forthcoming Chamber@60 celebrations as a strategic platform to showcase Embu's investment opportunities, attract international investors and forge partnerships that will accelerate business growth.
Through his bold vision, strategic leadership and unwavering advocacy for enterprise development, Dr. Erick Rutto continues to reposition KNCCI as the leading voice of Kenya's private sector, connecting businesses to opportunities, unlocking global markets and driving inclusive economic prosperity across all 47 counties.
