CS Rebecca Miano Leads Transformative Road Project to Unlock Nyandarua's Economic Potential

Cabinet Secretary for Tourism  Hon. Rebecca Miano, EGH, continues to exemplify purposeful and development-oriented leadership by championing infrastructure projects that improve livelihoods, strengthen regional economies and advance Kenya's national transformation agenda.

The official launch of the Ngorika Main Road Network upgrading project in Ol Kalou Constituency, Nyandarua County, marks the beginning of a transformative chapter for the region. The project addresses a long-standing infrastructural challenge that has persisted since independence, opening up reliable access to healthcare facilities, schools, markets and other essential services for the people of Ngorika Ward.

The upgraded road network is expected to significantly enhance mobility, lower transport costs and stimulate economic activity by providing farmers and traders with efficient links to local and national markets.

As Kenya's leading food-producing county, Nyandarua occupies a strategic position in the country's agricultural value chain. Improved road infrastructure will accelerate the movement of agricultural produce, reduce post-harvest losses and strengthen the county's contribution to national food security and economic growth.

Hon. Rebecca Miano reaffirmed the Government's commitment to delivering transformative infrastructure that directly improves the lives of wananchi while laying the foundation for inclusive and sustainable development.
