“Voice of Inclusion”: Regina Chumba Celebrates Caregivers, Vulnerable Children at Kimbilio Hospice Graduation
Hon. Regina Chumba, Women Representative aspirant for Uasin Gishu County and advocate for Persons with Disabilities, today joined families, caregivers, and children at the Kimbilio Hospice Living Room in Turbo Constituency during a colorful graduation ceremony for 21 caregivers and 21 children.
Speaking during the event, Chumba praised the caregivers for their compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication to supporting vulnerable children and families within the community. She described caregiving as a noble calling that strengthens the social fabric and promotes dignity for all.
“Empowering vulnerable children and supporting families is an investment in a caring and inclusive society,” she said, while encouraging stakeholders to continue championing programs that uplift marginalized groups.
The graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone for the caregivers and children who have undergone mentorship, psychosocial support, and empowerment programs through the hospice initiative. The event also highlighted the importance of community-driven care in transforming lives and restoring hope among vulnerable families.
Residents and local leaders who attended the ceremony applauded the initiative for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children while equipping caregivers with essential skills and emotional support.
Hon. Chumba reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for inclusion, social protection, and equal opportunities for persons living with disabilities and other vulnerable groups across Uasin Gishu County.
