President William Ruto has led the country in sending heartfelt condolences to Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir following the death of his father, Edwin Koech.

“Our sincere condolences to my friend, Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, and the entire family on the passing of your father, Edwin Koech,” President Ruto said. “We honour Mzee Koech for a life well lived in service to his community. He touched many lives through his kindness, generosity, and steady guidance.”
The Head of State praised the late patriarch’s enduring legacy, noting that his values of humility, leadership, and compassion helped shape not only his family but also the wider community.
