MP Abdul Haro Kore Hosts Thanksgiving Event, Emphasizes Unity and Regional Ties

Abdul Haro Kore, the Member of Parliament for Mandera South, has expressed heartfelt gratitude following a successful Thanksgiving Celebration held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the College of Insurance in South C, Nairobi.

In a message shared with family, friends, and supporters, Hon. Kore—speaking on behalf of Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi and the organizing committee—thanked all those who attended and contributed to the event’s success. He noted that the strong turnout and goodwill demonstrated by guests made the occasion both memorable and deeply meaningful.

The legislator extended special recognition to individuals who traveled long distances to attend, those who delivered speeches, and the many organizers who worked behind the scenes. He praised their dedication, describing it as a reflection of unity, friendship, and a shared sense of purpose.

Beyond celebration, the event carried broader regional significance. Hon. Kore highlighted the appointment of H.E. Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi as a symbol of growing ties between Kenya and Somalia, particularly among Somali communities. He described the appointment as a “living bridge” fostering cooperation, peace, and mutual prosperity between the two neighboring nations.

Kore further emphasized the interconnected nature of development in the region, noting that Somalia’s political stability plays a critical role in Kenya’s own progress. According to him, a stable Somalia contributes to improved security along shared borders, increased trade opportunities, and stronger cross-border communities.

He concluded his message by reaffirming the importance of unity, collaboration, and sustained support in advancing shared regional goals.
