Esther Passaris Responds to Fire Incidents in Embakasi South, Supports Vulnerable Communities

Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris has led a relief and support mission in Embakasi South, responding to two recent fire incidents that affected local families and left several households displaced.

Passaris visited AEF Rueben Primary School, where she observed urgent infrastructure needs to ensure children can learn in a safe and dignified environment. She emphasized the importance of protecting schools from hazards while providing dignified learning spaces for students.

During the visit, Passaris also engaged directly with single mothers and youth, reiterating her commitment to supporting vulnerable communities across Nairobi. Through collaboration with the County Administration and Special Programmes, food relief was distributed to affected families, providing immediate assistance to those impacted by the fires.

The Nairobi Women Representative also facilitated the distribution of five mobility aids to persons with disabilities through the Passaris Foundation, demonstrating her focus on inclusivity and community empowerment.

Passaris worked alongside area MCA Scolastica Muthoni (Kwa Rueben), RCC East Sub Region Werre Simiyu, OGW, and their teams to coordinate relief efforts, emphasizing that service to the people transcends political affiliations. “Though from different political formations, we are united in putting wananchi first,” she said.

Passaris praised Cabinet Secretary Charles Ruku for his continued support to Nairobi County and across the country, acknowledging the collaboration between national and county governments in addressing community needs.

“We continue to support the people of Nairobi and align our initiatives with the President’s development agenda,” Passaris noted, reinforcing her commitment to broad-based development and community upliftment.

The relief mission highlights ongoing efforts by Nairobi leadership to respond swiftly to emergencies, address structural needs in public facilities, and provide support to marginalized and vulnerable populations across the county.
