Rapha Hospitals CEO to Lead World Kidney Day Wellness Walk in Eldoret
The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2026, with participants expected to assemble at 8:00 a.m. at Zion Mall before beginning a procession through the town in what organizers are calling “A Walk for Your Wellness.”
According to Ms. Sang, the initiative is aimed at raising public awareness about kidney health and encouraging residents to adopt preventive lifestyles that reduce the risk of kidney disease.
“Kidney disease is often called a silent condition because many people do not realize they have it until it becomes severe,” Ms. Sang said. “Through this walk and awareness campaign, we want to encourage people to go for regular medical check-ups and take proactive steps to protect their health.”
Medical professionals from Rapha Hospitals and Clinics will also provide educational sessions and health guidance during the event, focusing on early detection, proper diet, hydration, and the management of conditions such as hypertension and diabetes that can lead to kidney failure.
World Kidney Day is observed annually across the globe to highlight the growing burden of kidney disease and the need for better prevention and treatment. Organizers say the Eldoret event will bring together healthcare workers, community members, and local leaders in a shared commitment to promote healthier living.
Residents of Eldoret and surrounding areas have been invited to join the awareness walk and support the campaign for better kidney health.
