Kiambu Leaders Tour Key Development Projects as Ann Wamuratha Reaffirms People-Centered Leadership

Kiambu Woman Representative Ann Wamuratha has reiterated her commitment to transformative development following a high-level inspection tour of major projects across the county alongside President William Ruto.

The visit, which covered Juja and Thika constituencies, focused on accelerating the government’s development agenda through strategic investments in housing, infrastructure, and economic empowerment initiatives.

Among the flagship projects highlighted were the Affordable Housing developments in Nyacaba and Thika, aimed at expanding access to decent and affordable homes while stimulating local economies. Leaders also unveiled plans to upgrade Thika Stadium to international standards, a move expected to position the region as a key hub for sports and talent development.

The delegation further toured the Thika Depot Affordable Housing Project and the Witeithie Modern Market—initiatives designed to boost small-scale enterprise and provide dignified working spaces for traders. In Juja, attention turned to the ongoing Ndarugo Affordable Housing Project, an integrated development featuring schools, a dispensary, a multipurpose hall, and administrative facilities, reflecting a comprehensive approach to community growth.

Infrastructure development also took center stage, with the Kimbo–Matangini Road project expected to significantly improve connectivity, ease transportation, and unlock new economic opportunities for residents and businesses.

Beyond infrastructure, Hon. Wamuratha continues to earn praise for her compassionate and approachable leadership style. Widely described as a leader with a “heart of gold,” she has built a reputation for prioritizing the needs of her constituents through empathy, active engagement, and practical solutions.

Her ability to connect with the grassroots, listen to concerns, and respond effectively has strengthened her standing across Kiambu County, where she is regarded not only as a representative but also as a reliable advocate for community welfare.

Speaking during the tour, Wamuratha emphasized the importance of focusing on tangible outcomes that directly improve citizens’ lives. She reiterated the leadership’s commitment to moving away from divisive politics toward a development-driven agenda centered on service delivery and inclusive growth.

“Kiambu is rising. Kenya is moving forward,” she stated, expressing appreciation for the national government’s continued support.

Her remarks reflect a broader vision anchored in unity, infrastructure expansion, and economic empowerment—complemented by a leadership approach grounded in compassion and service.

As Kiambu continues to experience rapid development, Ann Wamuratha’s blend of results-oriented leadership and genuine care for the people stands out as a model for effective public service.
