Eldoret Railway City Affordable Housing Project Advances, Set to Deliver 2,180 Units
Construction of the Eldoret Railway City Affordable Housing Project is progressing steadily, with the development expected to deliver 2,180 housing units across 15 residential blocks upon completion.
The project forms part of the government’s broader affordable housing initiative aimed at increasing access to decent and affordable homes for Kenyans. Once completed, the development will feature a mix of social, affordable, and market-rate units designed to accommodate households across different income levels.
In addition to residential units, the project will incorporate commercial spaces to support small businesses and essential services. These spaces are expected to stimulate economic activity within the estate while creating a vibrant and self-sustaining community.
Residents will also benefit from a range of social amenities and lifestyle facilities integrated into the development. These include an Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre, a dispensary to provide basic healthcare services, and a police post to enhance safety and security within the neighborhood.
To promote an active and balanced lifestyle, the project will feature recreational facilities such as a basketball court, a clubhouse, and a swimming pool. The inclusion of green and leisure spaces is intended to improve the quality of life for residents and encourage community interaction.
Prospective homeowners can register for the housing units through the government’s Boma Yangu platform by dialling *832# or visiting the website to begin the process of saving toward home ownership.
The Eldoret Railway City Affordable Housing Project is expected to play a key role in addressing the housing deficit while contributing to urban development and economic growth in the region.
