Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama Pledges Loyalty to President William Ruto, Dismisses Opposition as ‘Noise’

Webuye West Member of Parliament Dan Wanyama has reaffirmed his unwavering support for President William Ruto, declaring that he will not align himself with the opposition.

Speaking during a public event in his constituency, Wanyama said he remains firmly behind President Ruto’s leadership, describing him as ethical and dependable.

“I will never lead my people to the opposition. There is nothing in opposition but noise. I stand firmly behind President William Ruto because he is an ethical leader who keeps his word,” Wanyama stated.

The lawmaker emphasized that his loyalty to the Head of State is rooted in what he termed as Ruto’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises and advancing development across the country. He urged residents of Webuye West to support the government’s agenda, noting that unity with the national leadership would accelerate development projects in the region.

Wanyama’s remarks come at a time when political realignments and debates over governance have continued to shape the national conversation. His strong endorsement adds to a growing list of leaders within the ruling coalition who have publicly dismissed opposition criticism.

The MP reiterated that his priority remains delivering tangible development outcomes for his constituents, adding that cooperation with the national government is key to achieving that goal.

Political analysts say such declarations signal continued consolidation within the ruling coalition as leaders position themselves ahead of upcoming political engagements.

Wanyama concluded by urging leaders to focus on service delivery rather than engaging in political wrangles, which he said slow down progress.
