Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris Meets Over 2,000 Women, Affirms Support for Broad-Based Government
Nairobi County Woman Representative Hon. Esther Passaris has met with more than 2,000 women drawn from across Nairobi County, who have openly endorsed the Broad-Based Government, citing its focus on women’s empowerment, inclusion, and expanded economic opportunity.
The engagement brought together women leaders and community representatives who expressed strong support for a governance model anchored on partnership, unity, and development-driven leadership. Hon. Passaris was joined by fellow legislators including Hon. TJ Kajwang’, Hon. Phelix “Jalang’o” Odiwour, Hon. Ndindi Nyoro Kiarie, Hon. Mutinda, Hon. Hamida Kibwana, Hon. Aladwa, Hon. Orero, Hon. Oluoch, and Hon. Beatrice Elachi.
Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Passaris noted that the women were not merely endorsing a political framework, but a shared vision that prioritizes collaboration over division and progress over politics.
“The women of Nairobi are ready for leadership that works—leadership that places empowerment, opportunity, and inclusion at the centre of national development,” she said.
The leaders reaffirmed their support for the President’s development agenda, highlighting key priorities including affordable housing, job creation, healthcare reforms, support for small businesses, and expanded economic participation for women and youth.
Hon. Passaris emphasized that women remain a critical pillar in driving sustainable development and economic transformation, noting that their voices and participation are essential to the success of the country’s growth agenda.
The meeting underscored growing grassroots support for inclusive governance and a development-focused national outlook.
