Nairobi Elected Leaders Speak With One Voice Ahead of 2027 Polls
A caucus of respected Nairobi leaders has spoken with one voice, underscoring the importance of unity and collective progress as the country gears up for the 2027 General Election.
The leaders, led by Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie (KJ) and Embakasi North MP Hon. James Gakuya, alongside Nairobi South B MCA Waithera Chege and Senator Tabitha Mutinda, called for unity beyond tribal politics, urging residents to prioritize cohesion and issue-based leadership.
Speaking during the engagement, MCA Waithera Chege implored leaders and residents alike to embrace unity and peaceful coexistence as the foundation for sustainable development in Nairobi. She further urged communities from the Mountain region to come out in large numbers to register as voters and to make informed choices that reflect effective and accountable representation.
The leaders emphasized that Nairobi’s diversity should be its strength, noting that a united city is better positioned to influence national discourse and development outcomes ahead of the 2027 national polls.
