Moi University Congratulates Bomet University on Charter Award

Moi University has congratulated Bomet University on its elevation to a fully-fledged university following the award of a charter, describing the milestone as a historic achievement in Kenya’s higher education sector.

In a congratulatory message issued by the Moi University Council, Management Board, Senate, staff, alumni and students, the institution praised Bomet University for attaining academic maturity, institutional capacity and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research and community engagement.

The award of the charter marks a defining moment in Bomet University’s growth, affirming its steady progress and contribution to national development through higher education. Moi University noted that the achievement reflects the collective efforts and dedication of the university’s council, management, staff, students and stakeholders over the years.

Bomet University, which previously operated as a constituent college of Moi University, was commended for its resilience and focus in advancing its mandate. Moi University expressed pride in witnessing the institution’s transition into a fully-fledged university, noting that it is well positioned to expand its impact in knowledge creation, innovation and societal transformation.
