Faith-Based Group Hands Over ECDE Facility to Nakuru County
Apostle John Kimani William of Kingdom Seekers Fellowship has officially handed over a newly completed Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) facility at Kasambara to the Nakuru County Government, marking a significant boost to early learning infrastructure in the area.
The project, constructed under the fellowship’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, was received by Governor Susan Kihika during a commissioning ceremony attended by county officials, church leaders, educators, and community members.
The modern facility comprises a three-classroom block, a kitchen, and improved sanitation amenities, all designed to create a safe and conducive learning environment for young pupils.
Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Kihika lauded Apostle Kimani for his contribution to the county’s education sector, noting that partnerships with faith-based organisations play a crucial role in strengthening ECDE infrastructure and expanding access to quality education.
The governor highlighted the impact of the county’s Uji Program, which she said has led to a steady increase in ECDE enrolment across Nakuru. According to county records, learner numbers have risen from 59,000 to 66,591 across 1,068 ECDE centres.
She reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to investing in early childhood education, emphasizing that improved facilities and nutrition programs are key to enhancing learning outcomes and preparing children for a strong educational foundation.
Apostle Kimani said the fellowship remains committed to supporting community development initiatives, particularly in education, which he described as a cornerstone for long-term social and economic growth.
