Governor Abdullswamad Sheriff Nassir has announced key appointments in the Executive Office of the Governor following the establishment of positions by the Mombasa County Public Service Board, in line with legal provisions.

Among the appointments, Mr. Maurice Ogeta, who previously served as a close security aide to the late founding party leader H.E. Raila Odinga, has been named Advisor on Security Affairs. Ogeta brings extensive experience and institutional knowledge at local, regional, and global levels.

“I am confident that Mr. Ogeta’s expertise will greatly strengthen our security operations and policy planning,” Governor Nassir said.

In addition, Ken Ambani has been appointed Advisor on Creative Arts. With his wealth of knowledge and first-hand experience in the sector, Ambani is expected to play a pivotal role in reviving and growing Mombasa’s creative industry, benefiting artists, youth, and the wider economy.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to leveraging experience and talent to drive development and innovation across Mombasa County,” the Governor added.

The new advisors are expected to begin their duties immediately, supporting Governor Nassir’s agenda of security enhancement, economic growth, and cultural revival in the coastal region.
