Kapseret MP Aspirant John Chumba Commends President Ruto’s Youth Empowerment Initiatives

Kapseret MP aspirant John Chumba has praised President William Samoei Ruto for his commitment to empowering young people, women, and persons with disabilities through transformative economic programs.

In a statement, Chumba lauded the Nyota Business Start-Up Capital Programme, which recently disbursed funds to thousands of young entrepreneurs across the North Rift region. He described the initiative as “a clear demonstration of visionary leadership that prioritizes economic empowerment over handouts and dignity through work over dependency.”

Chumba emphasized that by combining start-up capital with savings through NSSF, skills certification, on-the-job training, and access to government procurement opportunities, the program lays a strong foundation for sustainable livelihoods.

“This bold investment reflects a government that listens, acts, and delivers,” he said. “Through initiatives such as labour mobility, affordable housing, skills development, and digital jobs, His Excellency is addressing the root causes of unemployment and poverty with lasting solutions. This is leadership that transforms lives, restores hope, and secures the future of our nation.”

The aspirant reaffirmed his support for President Ruto’s agenda, highlighting that such programs enable Kenyans to become creators of wealth and active drivers of national development.

“President Ruto’s bottom-up economic model ensures that no Kenyan is left behind,” Chumba added, urging young people and entrepreneurs to embrace the opportunities provided under the program.
