IG Sacco has rolled out an expansive Members’ Education Programme for 2026, signaling a renewed push to strengthen financial literacy, cooperative governance and informed member participation across its operational regions.

The programme, whose schedule spans from January 17 to March 28, 2026, will be conducted through a series of physical meetings in various divisions, culminating in a virtual session targeting diaspora members and those who may miss the in-person forums.

The education drive will officially kick off on January 17 with sessions in Matete, Mumias, Kabras South and Vihiga. It will then proceed to Shinyalu, Sabatia, Butere West and Emuhaya North on January 24, before moving to Lugari, Mumias East, Kabras North and Khwisero on January 31.

On February 7, the programme will reach Chavakali, Luanda, Butere East and Ikolomani. Activities will pause on February 14 to allow for the Sacco’s main elections in Tiriki, Butere and Mumias, alongside a by-election for the Lurambi Directorship, which will be conducted in line with official election notices.

The education sessions will resume on February 21, covering Emuhaya West, Kabras Central, Likuyani and Matungu, and continue on February 28 in Lurambi, Ileho, Nandi South and Siaya. Early March meetings will take place in Nandi North, Municipality, South Wanga and Bungoma Upper, before extending to Busia Lower, Tiriki East, Navakholo, Kisumu, Bungoma Central, Busia Upper, Tiriki West and Bungoma Lower.

The programme will conclude on March 28, 2026, with a virtual engagement coordinated through the Sacco’s head office to cater for diaspora members and those unable to attend the physical sessions.

IG Sacco has announced that all meetings will commence at 10.00 a.m., and members are required to present their original national identification documents for registration. The Sacco further noted that members who arrive after the chairperson’s address will not be eligible for transport reimbursement, while questionnaires and official communication links will be shared through respective base WhatsApp platforms.

The Members’ Education Programme remains a key component of IG Sacco’s strategy to promote transparency, accountability and informed decision-making among its membership.
