Uasin Gishu Reaffirms Commitment to Unity and Inclusive Development During ODM Courtesy Visit

 



Uasin Gishu County on today hosted officials of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) during a courtesy visit to the county headquarters, led by the Party Leader, Hon. Dr. Oburu Oginga. The meeting underscored the shared commitment to unity, inclusive governance, and people-centered development anchored on broad-based leadership.

Speaking during the engagement, Governor Jonathan Bii emphasized that Uasin Gishu—fondly known as the County of Champions—draws its strength from diversity and peaceful coexistence among its communities. He noted that broad-based leadership remains central to fostering unity by bringing together diverse voices around a shared purpose and ensuring that development benefits every community without exclusion.

The ODM delegation reiterated the importance of collaborative leadership in advancing national cohesion and sustainable progress. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships between county and national leadership to support inclusive policies that respond to the needs of all citizens.

Governor Bii reaffirmed the county’s commitment to advancing unity and accelerating inclusive development under the Broad-Based Government framework. He noted that Uasin Gishu’s cosmopolitan character and rich diversity are key assets that will continue to guide the county’s development agenda, ensuring no one is left behind as it pursues lasting progress for all residents.
